2006 Ohio Osteopathic Foundation Sandusky Memorial Hospital Guild. Funding to build an anatomy lab at Firelands Regional Medical Center School of Nursing/Sandusky Site of Lourdes College. Co-author, James Preston, D.O. Funding of $23,607.

2001 Science Education for New Civic Engagements & Responsibilities (SENCER). SENCER is a new initiative of the Association of American Colleges and Universities supported by the National Science Foundation whose purpose is curricular reform through an intensive, multi-dimensional, national dissemination program for undergraduate science education. Funding of $20,000.
